The 10th Workshop on the Genetics and Physiology of Acid- and Solvent-producing Clostridia

Hosted by Dr. Ana López Contreras and Dr. Pieternel Claassen of Agrotechnology and Food Sciences Group of the Wageningen UR.

The 10th Workshop on the Genetics and Physiology of Acid- and Solvent-producing Clostridia continues the tradition of scientific meetings that take place every two years in which scientists from all over the world come together to exchange their knowledge on these industrially interesting organisms.

The acetone-butanol fermentation of Clostridium acetobutylicum and related species, pioneered by Chaim Weizmann, stood out as an example of the industrial success of biological fermentations during the first half of the 20th Century.

New! Job offers at Clostridium research. If you may have job openings in biobutanol or Clostridium related research, they may be posted here. Contact: Ana López Contreras.

We look back to a very nice workshop! Shortly photographs, presentations, etc of the Clostridium10 will be posted at this website. If you are a participant, and have nice pictures, or contributed with a poster/oral presentation and would like it to be posted in this website, please send it to Ana López Contreras (ana.lopez-contreras@wur.nl).
